DKV is one of the main sponsors of the 10th Spanish Cycling Competition for Doctors, which will be take place on 27 October in Malaga. By means of this event, the company intends to reinforce the relationship with the medical sector, which is one of our main groups of interest.

The competition has consolidated itself at a national level, and teams made up from the fifty-two professional associations of doctors that are established in Spain can participate. That Saturday, the cyclists will start from the headquarters of the Professional Association of Doctors and cover a stretch of 76.6 kilometres towards the Eastern area of the Costa del Sol.

It is the first time that DKV sponsors a sporting event for doctors, which is one of the company's main interest groups. For this reason, Francisco J. Juan, Director General of Health of DKV Seguros, is “very proud of DKV Seguros participating in this competition, which gathers in the city of Málaga the 52 professional associations of doctors established in Spain and the doctors participating as cyclists in a very healthy activity such as cycling.”

In addition to strengthening the doctor's health, the event will also help to reinforce relationships with the group, explains Silvia Agulló, the company's Director of Responsible Business and Reputation: “At Responsible Business, we work with Health with the aim of coming in closer contact with the group of doctors and reinforcing our relationships, while positively impacting on this group of interest, which is a key prescriptor.

It is the first time that we sponsor a sporting event for doctors and we expect it to be a success.” José Miguel Villada, Director of the DKV branch in Málaga, will be DKV's representative during the race. He attended the race's official presentation together with Juan José Sanchez Luque, President of the Professional Association of Doctors, who believes the championship is “a challenge that promotes healthy lifestyles, a topic that doctor's have a lot to say about”.

“This sport is a combination of physical strength, tolerance, sacrifice, team work, leadership, skill and tactical intelligence, all of which is only achievable with great effort and a capacity for self-improvement. Cycling is a real school of values”, explains Pedro Navarro Merino, President of the Competition's Organising Committee, President of the Commálaga Foundation and Vice-President for Culture of the Professional Association of Doctors, who was also present during the act of presentation.

“I am very proud of DKV Seguros participating in this competition, which gathers in the city of Málaga the 52 professional associations of doctors established in Spain and the doctors participating as cyclists in a very healthy activity such as cycling”, says Francisco J. Juan, Director General of Health.
