The DKV Group receives the Healthy Workplace Award in the large enterprises category

The company has been chosen as winner of the third edition of the Healthy Workplace Award, awarded annually by Observatorio RH and Psya Asistencia

The company received yesterday the Healthy Workplace Award in the Large Enterprises category. This is an annual prize awarded by the publication Observatorio RH, with the technical support of Psya Asistencia, which recognises company initiatives in the improvement of health and well-being at the workplace, in three different categories (Large Enterprises, SMEs and special categories for specific areas).

The award winners were announced during the prize-giving ceremony held in Madrid last Tuesday. Winning companies receive an engraved plaque with the "Healthy Workplace” certification.

The Managing Director of Health, Dr. Francisco Juan and the Director of Human Resources, Jorge Díez-Ticio received a diploma during the ceremony, while the Managers of the Technical and Health Surveillance Units of the Occupational Health and Safety Services, Nuria Villalvilla and Gabriel Toledo respectively, explained the features of the winning project to the delegates present.

Specifically, Villalvilla and Toledo explained that the DKV strategy is aimed at ensuring the safety, health and well-being of the company's employees and society in general. They gave credit to the Management of the DKV Seguros Group, which "demonstrates its strong commitment to and leadership in healthcare for its professional team, its employees and society as a whole”.

The DKV action plan for a healthy workplace is based on three main areas: the strategic implementation of the Healthy Workplace management tool (through the product Viva la vida); the implementation of the DKV Healthy Workplace web portal; DKV Salud&Company; and transversal actions through the Healthy Workplace Plan. The product Vive la vida was initially implemented as the first Comprehensive Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Plan for people who want to take care of their health. The first to benefit from this ground-breaking product were the company employees, and later the idea arose of transferring it to the market to offer support to organisations seeking to be accredited as healthy workplaces.

After its assessment by the group of employees who were involved as part of a social benefit, it was agreed to develop the plan to include more innovative measures that would contribute greater value, not only in health promotion and disease prevention, but also in well-being. The result is the new product DKV Salud&Company, which has been available for the company's employees since the first quarter of the year. After this, work began on the implementation of a live communication tool with a wide variety of contents, the DKV Healthy Workplace Portal. This tool includes the platform "Mi salud al dia", which incorporates DKV Salud&Company and offers several communication features, such as: an annual health survey for employees (work skills, mental health, healthy lifestyle), personalised reports for each employee, a resource library with videos, monthly newsletters, forums and a suggestions box, documents and an advice service.

Similarly, transversal actions were also developed for the Healthy Workplace Plan, which include the promotion of physical activity inside and outside the company; promoting a healthy diet; promoting cardiovascular health; promoting musculoskeletal health; promoting psychosocial health; and a comprehensive Plan for active and healthy ageing for employees.
