Emergency in Indonesia

Thousands of people need your help

The island of Célebes, in Indonesia, has been affected by a major disaster. The earthquake and the resulting tsunami have affected more than two million people. There are already more than 1,400 deceased, and it is feared that there are hundreds of victims more. Roads, airports, the power supply and communications have been interrupted in several areas.

Before this situation, six NGOs part of the Emergency Committee (Acción Contra el Hambre, ACNUR, Médicos del Mundo, Plan Internacional, Oxfam Intermón and World Vision) have sent their teams to the area in order to carry out the first assessments and organise their emergency response: shelter, nutrition, water and sanitation, whether directly or through local partners. As many of you know, DKV joined the Emergency Committee as a collaborating company. Therefore, we want to provide a broad exposure of the pleas to collect funds.

We encourage you and your contacts to collaborate in any of ways presented to you below in order to help reduce the effects of this disaster. Thank you very much!
