DKV organised a solidarity concert with the Argentinian guitarist, singer, composer and producer, Ariel Rot, within the framework of the 2nd Voces Solidarias DKV concert, a charity initiative supporting the Cris Cancer Foundation, whose objective is to promote and finance research projects to treat and cure this illness. The concert of last Friday at the Galileo Galilei concert hall raised 6,600 euros for the cause.
Each of the attendees chose the price of their ticket up to a total seating capacity of 400 people, with some donations ranging between €20 and €150. In addition, a Row 0 was enabled for anyone who could not attend the concert but wished to contribute to the cause.
The 2nd Voces Solidarias DKV concert was the first concert played by the musician from Buenos Aires after Tequila's farewell concert held at the WiZink Center in Madrid on 25 September. Tequila was a legendary band in the Spanish Rock&Roll scene.
Voces solidarias DKV is an initiative with which the health insurance company intends to tie the brand's social commitment with the values of music through top artists. Antonio Carmona was invited to play the first edition, held on 14 February at the Sala Luz of Gas concert hall in Barcelona, and he sold out the venue with his come back to the stage after releasing his third solo album "Obras son amores".
Solidarity through music
“Voces solidarias DKV” is a project conceived by the company's Responsible Business department and the charity platform “A Million Smiles” to reward and acknowledge the participation in social causes of its employees, customers, doctors and agents, by offering them a live musical experience.
These concerts help finance social initiatives of impact in the field of healthcare, through the proceeds of ticket sales, the donations of concert attendees, and the contributions of the insurance company.
As Josep Santacreu, CEO of DKV, explains: “thanks to our collaboration in the past with the artist Antonio Orozco and the sponsorships of the Festival de Pedralbes and the Festival Mil·lenni, we understand the emotional power of music; so now we are moving forward with a new project linked to the social commitment of our employees and collaborators, and the collection of funds for charitable causes.”
To this end, the insurance company produces and finances the concerts, selects the guest artist and chooses the initiative or project to help by means of its fund raising.
