Within the MUFACE organisation, in each province there is a Provincial Service in charge of managing the provisions of mutual society members
MUFACE, an institution reporting to the Ministry of Public Administration, is structured in Central Services, located in Calle Paseo de Juan XXIII, 26, Madrid, 28040-MADRID and in Provincial Services, where citizens can complete their paperwork at a territorial level.
Article 11 of Royal Decree 577/1997, of 18 April, which regulates the composition of the governing, administration and representation bodies of the General State Civil Servant Mutual Society (Official State Gazette no.109 of 7 May), explains that “In each province there must be a Provincial Service, and there shall be Services in Ceuta and Melilla.”
Structure of the Provincial Services
In accordance with this Royal Decree, in its article 17, MUFACE'S Provincial Services must have a Director that assumes the direction, coordination, programming, execution and control of the administrative and technical activity of the Mutual Society.
In all these Provincial Services there will be Secretary, appointed from the civil servants of Public administrations in accordance with the predictions established by the list of job positions for this purpose. The deputy director of the Provincial Service, reporting to the Provincial Director, shall guarantee the running and coordination of its internal services, as well as anything else entrusted to him by the Provincial Director that falls within his competencies.
In addition, the Provincial Services shall be composed of Branch Office Managers
The Branch Office Managers perform the competencies assigned by the Directorate General of MUFACE.
The Branch Office Managers will be replaced, if absent or ill or if the position is vacant, by the Managing unit manager or the person holding the position that in each case will be appointed by the Director General of MUFACE.
Functions of the Provincial Services
The Provincial Services manage the provisions requested by the mutual society members at their branches, as the application of any provision can be carried out at the Provincial Services branches from 9.00am to 2.00pm Monday-Friday, according to the Work Calendar of each province.
In addition some provisions can be processed telematically via Muface's e-Office. The following offices can also be used:

The application of any provision can be carried out at the Provincial Services branches from 9.00am to 2.00pm Monday-Friday, according to the Work Calendar of each province.

- From 16 June to 15 September: 8.30am to 2.30pm. Monday-Thursday and Fridays 9:00am to 2.30pm.
- Rest of the year, 9.00am to 6.00pm Monday-Thursday and Fridays 9.00am to 2.00pm.
