The hardest job in the world: being a mother

Who takes care of the mums? DKV

Lucia, my paediatrician

Learning to be a mom with Malasmadres and Lucia mi pediatra (Lucy my paediatrician)

There are days in which one realises that being a mother is the hardest job in the world. Days in which you realise what being a mother means and how hard it can be. Without a manual or instructions and always doubting if what you are doing is correct. Doubts constantly arise because they are part of the package of being a mother.

For DKV, is necessary to support to all mothers, so they can have the guidance and support they need in order to be able to perform this unique task. That's why, since the beginning of 2019, the company has been supporting them by collaborating with the "Club de las Malasmadres" [Bad Mothers Club] and now, also with Lucia, my paediatrician.

As a result, we now present you with two new proposals. Because, in order to be able to take care of everyone else, first you have to take care of yourself!

Since the beginning of the year, the Malasmadres Club and DKV have joined forces to reclaim the little time that mothers spend on themselves. As a result, both groups have launched a challenge, a new year's resolution: take care of yourself, and not just with respect to food. Taking care of yourself involves much more than gyms and diets: it involves food, emotional health, rest, sport and disconnecting.

Over the last few weeks, we have presented the “La hora de cuidarse” [Time to take care of yourself] initiative, which begins with "The wheel of life”, and the amazing Tour Malas Madres [Bad Mothers Tour]", a major tour that it will cover Spain. But it doesn't end there.

We continue with our challenge of encouraging you to take care of yourself with DKV and #LaHoraDeCuidarse and so we want to know how motherhood has affected you with respect to maintaining healthy eating habits and routines. To do this, we are launching the second survey in our challenge and we would like to be able to count on you. Stay tuned!
