For another year running, ARCOmadrid dedicates a space for young children with the ARCOkids solidarity workshops, an initiative developed by the Pequeño Deseo Foundation and promoted by DKV Seguros as part of the DKV Arteria programme, to introduce children to the world of contemporary art.
In addition, N+V of Villalobos Kids joins the initiative by supplying aprons specially designed by the N+V team, led by the model Nieves Álvarez and Belén Villalobos, who will be there to welcome all the children participating in the ARCOkids workshops. Since its launch, N+V has been a socially committed brand that strives to transmit values and concepts to children via its slogan “play and help other children to play".
The artistic and charitable spirit of this initiative goes is combined with raising environmental awareness, since the children work with recycled materials. Through this initiative, the children will learn that they can use their imagination to turn any material into a true work of art. ARCOKIDS is a creative space for solidarity, in which children between the ages of 4 and 12 years create their own works of art under the future vision and slogan IMAGINA-T-LO, the theme chosen this year by the ARCOmadrid art fair.
The funds raised by ARCOKids will be donated to the Pequeño Deseo Foundation to make dreams come true for children with chronic diseases and poor prognoses. “Participating in our workshops brings art closer to young children and involves them in a solidarity initiative”, explains Cristina Cuadrado.
